Tradewind has closed a $1.25 million credit facility for an exporter of fruits and vegetables based in Peru. The company sells mainly mangoes, citrus fruits, avocados, and pomegranates to buyers in the USA, Canada, and some European countries including the Netherlands, UK, and Spain.<\/p>\n
At the time it approached Tradewind, the agro exporter, who has a branch in the United States dedicated to the import and distribution of its products, was experiencing an increase in orders and needed additional liquidity to fill them.<\/p>\n
With strong visibility in Peru as one of the leading international factoring companies in the region, Tradewind furnished the exporter with a trade finance package that accelerated its cash flow and streamlined its operations as it performed collections, dunning and bookkeeping on the exporter\u2019s behalf. The trade finance firm, who has an office in Lima and also offers full supply chain finance and ABL, funded the exporter based on the creditworthiness of its customers and provided credit protection in the case of buyer insolvency. Tradewind\u2019s services strengthened the exporter\u2019s credit and collections capabilities overseas, poising it to be more aggressive in foreign markets.<\/p>\n
